Umbria: an educational laboratory with a regional dimension

Organizing an educational trip to Umbria is a real opportunity to combine the undeniable pleasure of leaving the classroom with that of “breathing in” the best that man has been able to create over the centuries: beauty, harmony and spirituality make this region one of the most interesting destinations for school tourism.

The richness of Umbria’s artistic, cultural, naturalistic and anthropological heritage makes it possible to consider this territory, with its cities, as an educational laboratory with a regional dimension, capable of a rich and diversified offer.

Numerous itineraries and multiple activities can be designed and conceived for both primary and high schools.

Umbria: an educational laboratory with a regional dimension

The strengths of the regional offerings are:

Perfectly usable towns and villages, readable according to a plurality of keys that allow the development of comprehensive educational paths relevant to different school curricula.

Museums up-to-date on modern educational methodologies, strongly characterized and linked to the area in which they are located.

Accessible and usable nature resources (regional parks) with high opportunities for outdoor activities and development of environmental education projects.

Accommodation network capable of offering differentiated solutions: hotels, agritourisms, educational farms.

Thus, our idea of cultural and educational trips offers a series of thematic proposals specially developed with a new approach.

Classic Umbrian itineraries are rethought and reworked in consideration of the particular audience and, above all, based on the specific needs expressed by teachers.

We like to establish a real dialogue with the children, capable of engaging and stimulating them.

Through direct and participatory observation, we invite them to express personal reflections and suggestions, and to formulate logical processes and connections between the themes presented.

During the course of the visit, or at the end of the visit, the use of appropriately crafted teaching materials (cards, pictures, material to be assembled) will enable the topics covered to be more fixed.

This is thanks to a time of playful verification that will give the children an opportunity to go over, rework, deconstruct and reconstruct independently what they have just seen in the company of the operator.
