” Plan your guided tour of the National Gallery of Umbria

A guided tour of the new National Gallery of Umbria allows visitors to admire the great masterpieces preserved and to discover the history of Perugia through its public palace: the Palazzo dei Priori, a symbol of the city’s triumph during the communal period.

The new layout has enhanced the exhibition route and architecture, starting with the Alessi Loggia overlooking Corso Vannucci.

During the guided tour we will find the masterpieces that have made the glory of Perugia: Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Benozzo Gozzoli, Pinturicchio, and Perugino, to whom two rooms are dedicated with the most significant number of works preserved in one museum.

Any further news?

Certainly the entry into the collection of Melozzo da Forlì’s precious Salvator Mundi, rediscovered in storage and enhanced in value thanks to the renewed layout.

Added are fifteenth-century medals by Pisanello and an entire section devoted to contemporary art.

I look forward to accompanying you to discover the new Gallery. Please feel free to contact me to arrange your guided tour.
