Città della Pieve is unique in Umbria for its beautiful deep red color, that of the ancient terracotta with which it was built.
Its celebrity is linked to the name of a great Renaissance painter, “Perugino.”
A guided tour, then, is an opportunity to rediscover those works that the famous artist left in his city, including the spectacular fresco of the Adoration of the Magi or the paintings of the Cathedral and St. Peter’s.
The town also offers opportunities to visit because of the wide and beautiful panorama of the Valdichiana, its characteristic narrow streets, such as the “kissing women” alley, or the nobility of its palaces, such as that of the della Corgna family, frescoed in the late 16th century.
