Until June 11, at the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia, it will be possible to visit “The Best Master of Italy. Perugino in his time,” the highly anticipated exhibition dedicated to Pietro di Cristofano Vannucci, known as Perugino, organized to celebrate his 500th anniversary.
The exhibition, curated by Marco Pierini and Veruska Picchiarelli, features a collection of major works by the great Umbrian Renaissance master. It represents an unmissable event for art connoisseurs who will be able to deepen their knowledge of the city.

Duration: 3 hours

Perugino Exhibition: 10€ per person
This itinerary allows visitors to follow Perugino’s art from his beginnings to 1505, the moment at the height of his production. Within the permanent collection it will be possible to admire the rich series of works related to the artist’s maturity. The in-depth tour includes masterpieces by great masters such as Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Benozzo Gozzoli and Pietro da Cortona.

Duration: 3 hours

The tour takes in the masterpieces of the exhibition and the exteriors of a city rich in history. We will follow an itinerary from Perugino’s time back to Etruscan times.
The program includes the Rocca Paolina with the Baglioni quarter, Porta Marzia, theEtruscan Arch with the remains of the Perugia Sotterranea, the panoramic terrace of Piazza Italia, the Sopramuro, Piazza IV Novembre with the Fontana Maggiore, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Palazzo dei Priori (including the Sala dei Notari if open), and the panoramic view from Porta Sole.

After visiting the exhibition and the city route planned in proposal number 2, we will devote the afternoon to the great masterpieces of the Renaissance in the city. We will begin at the Collegio del Cambio(*) frescoed by Perugino with the collaboration of Raphael. We will find the two artists again in the Chapel of San Severo(*) in the Porta Sole district.
The tour continues along Via dei Priori to end at theOratory of San Bernardino, a masterpiece by Agostino di Duccio.
