Trevi is the city of fine olive oil, and a wide expanse of olive trees, in fact, greets the visitor who ascends to this small, pretty town set high above overlooking La Valle Umbra.

Inside, a visit to Trevi reveals the beauty of the dense intertwining of alleys, which, in a spiral movement, reach up to the heart of the town, the cathedral of St. Emiliano.

Churches, palaces and characteristic sights constitute in Trevi, a truly important heritage…

  • Villa Fabbri, a sumptuously decorated private residence with breathtaking views of the valley (reservation required).
  • Clitunno Theater, built in the 1800′ still retains the original curtain.
  • Mazzini Square with the municipal palace and tower (exterior).
  • Cathedral of St. Aemilianus, in the heart of the settlement.
  • Walk in search of the most beautiful views.
  • St. Francis Civic Museum.
  • Shrine of Our Lady of Tears with frescoes by Perugino.

Not far from Trevi:

The Fonti del Clitunno are celebrated already in antiquity and especially later by Carducci. These springs are a truly evocative example of resurgent water forming a small lake of a thousand relaxations.

The Tempietto del Clitunno is one of the rare examples of an early Christian building in Umbria. It is in a prime location, right next to the Clitunno River near its headwaters.
