{"id":3954,"date":"2026-04-02T11:57:34","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T09:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/visite-guidate\/secret-valnerina-a-beauty-unveiled\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T11:57:50","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T09:57:50","slug":"secret-valnerina-a-beauty-unveiled","status":"publish","type":"tour","link":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/en\/guided-tours\/secret-valnerina-a-beauty-unveiled\/","title":{"rendered":"Secret Valnerina: a beauty unveiled"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leaving the beautiful <strong>Spoleto<\/strong> on the right, and beyond the long tunnel (a good 4 km), I find myself in a panorama capable, every time, of impressing me: the <strong>Nera Valley<\/strong> has preserved that suspended atmosphere and that bursting nature that are characteristic of those territories where time seems to have stopped.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The road runs alongside the river, between steep mountains covered with rich vegetation, interrupted at times by the presence of villages perched on high ground or wonderful Benedictine abbeys.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet it is not only this that I love about the <strong>Valnerina<\/strong>: it is all those hidden and little-known places, which I sometimes have the opportunity to let others discover and which I like to revisit and relive.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>San Pietro in Valle<\/strong> is one of the first treasures of this area to come to mind: a Benedictine abbey of Lombard foundation that has a truly unique and ancient fresco cycle with stories from the Old and New Testaments, all in a simply breathtaking landscape.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then there is <strong>Vallo di Nera<\/strong>, high above, a small village overlooking the valley that preserves in its most beautiful church a unique testimony to a choral event that involved Christendom in the late 14th century: thousands of pilgrims dressed in white who gathered from all over Europe to plead for the election of a single pope.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are really so many surprises that this area can give you!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an itinerary along the Valnerina, you can contact us through the website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1899,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"categoria-tour":[160],"class_list":["post-3954","tour","type-tour","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria-tour-guided-tours-in-spoleto"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tour\/3954","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tour"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/tour"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1899"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3954"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categoria-tour","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categoria-tour?post=3954"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
