Being a Docg (of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin) guide means enriching knowledge about the area every day so that I can offer it to those who come to my beloved region.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

Umbria<\/strong>. A land that loves the earth! <\/p>\n\n

In Umbria, a region that is often shy in showing itself, new realities have sprung up that look to the land to work it in harmony and without violating it, producing agrifood excellence that fills us with pride.<\/p>\n\n

Organic wine and oil, cheeses, legumes, and zero-mile flour-all processed and sold on site, for those who wish to keep it traditional.<\/p>\n\n

There are many happy experiments, and I would like to be able to show them to you with an itinerary capable of combining artistic and natural beauty with our food and wine excellence.<\/p>\n\n

1. The Lands of Sagrantino<\/h2>\n\n

Certainly one of the areas I would like to start from is the one between Montefalco<\/strong> and Bevagna<\/strong>, where vineyards and olive groves, but also expanses of cereals, compose vivid geometries of colors that change with the seasons.<\/p>\n\n

In addition to pleasant wine and oil tastings among vineyards and olive groves surrounded by a dreamy landscape, I propose a reality that produces wheat, grinds it and processes it without ever moving.<\/p>\n\n

Or a buggy ride through the rows of Sagrantino vines. We also have those who work the vines using a horse-drawn tractor instead of a mechanical one. <\/p>\n\n

2. The Middle Tiber Valley<\/h2>\n\n

Another “Good Eating” route is the one that, along the Tiber<\/strong>, joins Perugia<\/strong> and Todi<\/strong>. In addition to the excellence of wine(Torgiano<\/strong>, with the hills of Brufa<\/strong>, is now a small capital of it), I would also include cheeses, with one of the production houses that, just thinking about it, makes your mouth water. <\/p>\n\n

3. The Valnerina<\/h2>\n\n

The area that follows the Nera<\/strong> River is the most surprising because it reveals absolute art treasures in an unspoiled landscape. Deep green forests frame small perched villages, churches and abbeys full of artistic treasures that we would not expect. <\/p>\n\n

Here you will find a gastronomy that boasts centuries-old traditions: the “norcini” have always produced excellent quality cured meats.<\/p>\n\n

From Norcia<\/strong> they would go from farm to farm to process pork. To this you can add lentil and a range of legumes and grains with a variety that will amaze you. <\/p>\n\n

Of course, do not hesitate to contact me to work out your itinerary among art, nature, good food and excellent wine, also because there are always new realities in Umbria that fill us with hope for the great passion that sustains them.<\/p>\n\n
