Proposals for lovers of foliage"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Summer with its excesses fades away, giving way to autumn and the fullness of its colors: the triumph of reds and yellows that light up<strong>Umbria<\/strong> &#8216;s landscapes and provide a backdrop for its villages nestled among the gentle rolling hills.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best area to admire the foliage is the one that rises from <strong>Bevagna<\/strong> to <strong>Montefalco<\/strong> and descends gently to lap Madonna della Stella, already in the direction of <strong>Spoleto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Montefalco in particular deserves all our attention: it is the balcony of Umbria and from above it overlooks the Sagrantino vineyards that in autumn are tinged with bright red, juxtaposing the yellow ones of Trebbiano and Grechetto, and of course the silver green of the olive groves.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Against the backdrop of such beauty rise the Apennine foothills, with <strong>Assisi<\/strong> and <strong>Spello<\/strong> on the slopes of <strong>Subasio<\/strong>, and then <strong>Trevi<\/strong> and Spoleto to the south and <strong>Perugia<\/strong> to the north.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Benozzo Gozzoli immortalized such beauty in his frescoes inside the church-museum of San Francesco in Montefalco.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full has-custom-border\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"559\" src=\"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/foliage-in-umbria.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3542\" style=\"border-top-left-radius:16px;border-top-right-radius:16px;border-bottom-left-radius:16px;border-bottom-right-radius:16px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/foliage-in-umbria.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/foliage-in-umbria-300x164.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.guidaturisticainumbria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/foliage-in-umbria-768x419.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So art and nature, to which we can associate good food and especially Umbria&#8217;s most celebrated wine.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After devoting a day to the Lands of Sagrantino, it&#8217;s time to leave for the <strong>Valnerina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here nature triumphs at all times of the year, but it certainly offers its best in autumn.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spectacle of colors along the banks of the <strong>Nera<\/strong> River is the cue to discover a hidden Umbria, nevertheless capable of revealing unexpected beauty.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Vallo di Nera<\/strong>, with its frescoes and terraces overlooking the valley, and Mount <strong>Coscerno<\/strong>, starting at <strong>Sant&#8217;Anatolia di Narco<\/strong>, offer cues for building your itinerary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summer with its excesses fades away, giving way to autumn and the fullness of its colors: the triumph of reds and yellows that light upUmbria &#8216;s landscapes and provide a backdrop for its villages nestled among the gentle rolling hills.
